This walk is open to dogs with appropriate social skills and stable temperaments, including dogs that may be reactive but can be safely managed in a group setting. If your dog has a history of human aggression or dog aggression, this may not be the most appropriate environment at this time. We encourage you to reach out regarding private training options so we can help you work toward future participation.
We'll take a structured walk around the lake and surrounding shops while practicing real-world skills in a variety of environments. Pack walks provide an excellent opportunity to work on leash manners, engagement, neutrality around distractions, and handling skills, all while enjoying time with fellow dog owners.
Whether you're looking to practice your dog's skills, enjoy a morning with the pack, or simply start your holiday with some fresh air and good company, we'd love to see you there.
⭐ Following the walk, anyone who would like to stay is welcome to join us for coffee, refreshments, or a snack at one of the local businesses. Please note that this portion of the outing is not sponsored by Take The Lead LLC, and participants will be responsible for their own purchases.
Registration & Attendance Policy
Please do not register unless you are absolutely certain you can attend. Pack walks often fill quickly, and every reserved spot represents an opportunity for another dog and handler team to participate.
In the past, we have had deserving dogs turned away due to full registration, only to have registered participants fail to attend. If you reserve a spot and later discover you cannot make it, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can offer your space to someone on the waiting list.
If you have previously registered for a Take The Lead event and failed to attend without advance notice, you may not be eligible to participate in future events until the matter has been addressed.
We understand that emergencies happen. This policy is intended to encourage courtesy, accountability, and fairness to fellow participants who are eager to attend and may otherwise miss the opportunity.
